Moonshots is a vegan based company that specializes in cold pressed juices, flavored almond milks, specialty coffee and vegan snacks - we believe in delivering the highest quality elements from nature as unprocessed and undisrupted as possible.

MoonShots Story...

A moonshot is defined as a “monumental effort, with a lofty goal.” Our business is based on the belief that everyone is on their own personal “moonshot” in life, and an essential part of this journey is giving yourself the very best fuel to get there. 

Our moonshot story started years ago with my mother(Kathy) in our kitchen, where she created healthy food options with great taste for a family of picky eaters. After a career in the NFL, My brother (John) teamed up with our mom to offer her amazing juice creations to our home town in Guilford Ct. Having already gone on his own “moonshot journey” all the way to the NFL and back, John believed in the healing and energetic properties of clean, healthy food options. As a new business owner he was confident it would be a hit because of our mother’s ability to make anything (even healthy food) taste delicious. 

Along the way, building a small business took more help from the family, and my dad (Dave) pitched in with his expertise in the trades, the family business for over forty years. I (Keeley) the daughter and sister came along just in time to invest in the vintage moonshots juice truck the family envisioned as being perfect to break into an untapped market with a new product. 

Since our start, everyone in the family has developed their own natural role in the company based on their talents. Mom runs the kitchen and creates our recipes, John sells on the truck and packages the product. My dad drives the truck as John is too afraid to because it’s an antique, he doesn’t fit and breaks things often. Dad also helps us with any kind of mechanical or trade related issues that come up. Finally there is me, When I’m not running my own photography business, I’m using those skills to capture vibrant images of our juices and running our social media and marketing for moonshots. 

Owning a family business is never easy, but it has changed all of us for the better! We have grown up in this community, but as a result of this new family business we are getting to meet so many amazing people and see a healthy, vibrant side of the shoreline that has enriched our lives more than we could have ever imagined.
